Creating Tomorrow's Leaders

March 2016

We take great pride in our highly selective Emerging Leaders Program, an initiative that attracts top undergraduate university students interested in a business career in the financial industry.

Over the course of a year, Emerging Leader Program participants develop technical, professional and interpersonal skills by attending a four-week professional skills training course — complemented with on-the-job development opportunities during three rotations (12 to 14 weeks each) through a dedicated functional area within BNY Mellon. The program offers six tracks that provide experience and expertise in different areas: Risk, Finance, Audit, Human Resources, Investment Services and Investment Management. 2016 will mark the third year of the program, with participants from the U.S., UK and Ireland invited to take part. “After interning for a summer with BNY Mellon, I returned full-time under the auspices of the Emerging Leaders Program, which offered me multiple opportunities for training, development and exposure to prominent projects and executives. The program provided me with an onboarding experience that allowed me to explore multiple lines of business and increase my overall industry knowledge, join a cohort of like-minded and outgoing peers and truly discover where my skills and passions lie for my long-term career.”
