Eagle Suite Optimized for Speed and Reliability on Oracle Exadata Database Machine
BOSTON – September 23, 2013 — Eagle Investment Systems, a leading provider of financial services technology and a subsidiary of BNY Mellon, today announced its Eagle V12.1 solution suite has achieved Oracle Exadata Optimized status through Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN). Achieving this status demonstrates that Eagle’s suite of middle and back-office financial services solutions has been tested and tuned with the Oracle Exadata Database Machine to help deliver speed, scalability and reliability to clients.
“Eagle’s software on Oracle Exadata offers additional scalability options and reliability of the services that Eagle provides to our investment management and financial clients,” said Marc Firenze, Eagle’s chief technology officer.
“Attaining Oracle Exadata Optimized status complements our Eagle ACCESSSM private cloud strategy. It is vital we continue to evaluate and implement emerging technologies to continually improve our platform. We believe investment managers utilizing the latest technology from Eagle and Oracle can more efficiently grow their assets.”
Recent testing of Eagle V12.1 on the Oracle Exadata Database Machine indicated that the performance of critical workloads improved 2.6 times compared to Eagle’s performance lab baseline, without the need for code changes. Eagle is a Gold-level member in OPN.
Oracle Exadata Optimized is part of the Oracle Exastack Optimized program which allows partners, such as Eagle, to leverage OPN enablement resources and dedicated lab environments to help develop, test and tune their applications on Oracle Exadata, Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud and Oracle SuperCluster engineered systems. It is a complete package of servers, storage, networking, and software that is massively scalable, secure and redundant.
