August 26, 2014

BNY Mellon Chairman and CEO Gerald Hassell and his wife, Agnes — assisted by their children and Daisey Holmes, Head of Philanthropy and Employee Programs in the metro New York area — recently participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig's disease, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The Hassells are longtime supporters of the ALS Association of Greater New York.
