I am a Senior Strategist in the PMO Strategic Initiatives group for Asset Servicing, which is a part of Investment Services. I am involved in strategic planning, organizational restructuring, and other projects including client relationships, compliance, and legal. This is a great department for identifying opportunities across the firm, for getting involved in a diverse range of projects, working with different teams, divisions, regions, and for building network. I enjoy working in this group because I get exposure to multiple facets within the company as well as industry. Not only that, I also get to make a significant impact on the team using strategic planning.
A Day in My Life
The majority of my day is spent on project management, identifying a problem, and developing solutions. I am currently working on enhancing a platinum client relationship that includes understanding client needs and then working to meet or exceed their expectations. Process improvement is becoming a major part of our day to day job as we enhance our client experience. As an organization, you want to make a big impact – it’s all about how we understand our clients and partner with them.
No two days are ever the same. Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new.
Another thing I really like about my day-to-day is we get exposure to senior management and executive committee members and have opportunity to get their views and perspectives on overall business strategy.
