Day to day work includes client processing and data analysis with Green Belt project work built on the foundation of Lean principles. Coursework is delivered by BK University and the Transformation & Program Management Academy focusing on continuous process improvement and efficiency savings.

Client Activation

Client Activation is a Center of Excellence utility which focuses on the four key pillars of Know-Your-Customer, Client Party Data, Account Activation, and Client Documentation Management for businesses across Investment Services.


The Derivatives Services Group provides post-execution derivative and collateral services including trade support, independent valuation, life cycle, accounting, data repository, collateral management and portfolio reconciliation to all businesses across the company.

Global Securities Operations

Global Securities Service Operations provides a range of custody-specific services, such as trade capture, settlements, income and corporate events. GSO delivers market-leading services that support investment income collection and distribution, trade instruction delivery and corporate actions across Operations and other BNY Mellon lines of business. GSO provides internal support for Asset Servicing, Alternative Investment Services, Broker Dealer Services, Corporate Trust, Treasury Services, Depository Receipts, Global Client Management and Markets.

Issuer and Loan Services

Issuer & Loan Services (ILS) provides corporate trust services for the issuance and servicing of debt in the capital markets, the provision of cross-border solutions (settlements, dividend, and proxy processing) for the Depositary Receipt Programs and Loans processing centralized in our Loans Administration Services group. The team holds key, high profile operational relationships with Central Securities Depositaries given the nature of the services performed by our teams in the capital markets.

Middle Office

Middle Office Solutions (MOS), provides investment administration services to clients that want to outsource non-core Operations and Technology and focus on their core competency of investment management and client service.

Payments and Treasury Services

Payments & Treasury Service Operations provides USD, check and multicurrency electronic payment services for domestic and international banks and corporations and internal areas of the company. They also provide middle-office and back-office servicing for a diverse array of products for investments, asset creation and global trade finance.

Securities Data Management

The Securities Data Management utility was developed to ensure the creation of one point within the organization for pricing, accounting transactions for market events, and indicative data operational support. This creates a “one stop shop” for all pricing and data requirements, and consistent control over who receives pricing and data.

Transformation and Program Management (T&PM) has an Operations-wide remit to build our re-engineering capabilities, simplify our processes and operation model and transform the way we think and work.
