Our people in Boston volunteered to read with children, as part of Jumpstart’s international shared reading campaign to address educational inequities. Along the way, they broke the world record!
Millions of children and adults gathered to learn, laugh, and read The Bear Ate Your Sandwich by Julia Sarcone-Roach, as part of the world’s largest shared reading and learning experience. JumpStart’s Read for the Record campaign inspires adults to read with children, spurs policymakers and organizations to take action towards transformative change in early education and puts books in the hands of more children across the country. BNY Mellon sponsored the event and volunteers in our Boston office led educational activities and read aloud to 200+ students in the Boston Public Library—breaking the world record!
