We are always seeking new and collaborative ways within our industry to improve efficiency and provide a better client experience. In October 2014, we entered into a consortium of 15 financial institutions that are funding and collaborating on Symphony, a potentially industry-changing communications platform that allows communities of financial services professionals to communicate securely and efficiently with their clients using compliant standards and end-to-end encryption.
Today, we have more than 500 active accounts on Symphony with the external chat feature enabled, providing an opportunity for reliable messaging with clients also using the platform. In 2017, we plan to publish Symphony Application Program Interfaces (APIs) in our NEXENSM Gateway. In addition, our Silicon Valley Innovation Center is exploring new chat bot technology that could further enhance the benefits of the APIs. This sort of cooperation is critical to the future of our industry. As one of the investing institutions in this project, we have a unique opportunity to create exactly what we need to communicate more effectively. Through this alliance with our peers and the communication technology experts at Symphony, we expect to build a game-changing tool for our industry. By pooling our respective areas of expertise, we are partnering with other industry pioneers to disrupt and improve upon traditional means of communicating within the industry.
