Steve Lackey is BNY Mellon's Chairman of Asia Pacific and Chairman of the Asia Pacific Executive Committee.
In this capacity, Steve directs and manages the execution of the company's overall business strategy for the region, as well as regional client management. Based in Hong Kong, Steve serves as BNY Mellon's primary representative with the local regulatory authorities and leads the company's regional efforts for employee engagement and talent management. Additionally, he serves as a non-executive director of Wing Hang Bank.
Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Steve served as BNY Mellon's director of global corporate development and investor relations functions, overseeing the company's merger and acquisitions activities and its relationships with shareholders and equity/debt analysts.
During his tenure with the company, Steve has held a range of client-focused assignments based in London, Sydney, Pittsburgh and Denver, including his leadership of units that supported multinational clients, communications and technology clients and specialized industries clients.
Steve received a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University and a master's degree in international management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird). He has served as a Co-Chair for the Corporate Development Effort of the Carnegie Museums and as a board member of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Allegheny County.
