Global Head of Relationship Management
Tom Ahern is the Global Head of Relationship Management for BNY Mellon Corporate Trust. With over 20 years industry experience, he is responsible for managing and enhancing existing client relationships within the business, implementing key strategic initiatives and product enhancements to grow business revenue.
Leading up to his current role, Tom held many oversight and leadership positions in BNY Mellon. He was the Head of Corporate Trust in EMEA, where he created and implemented region-specific strategy, employed governance oversight and oversaw the bank’s business performance and P&L responsibility which resulted in higher ROI.
Additionally, Tom led the Global Corporate Trust Analytics function at BNY Mellon, in addition to serving as Ireland’s Site Executive. In this dual role, he managed Corporate Trust Ireland’s administration and agency services, investor reporting, as well as compliance and collateral solutions, to help issuers navigate the debt capital markets. Jointly, he was responsible for team’s based in EMEA, U.S., and APAC, who performed Analytics Services for clients to develop and model compliance and payment logic on multiple products.
Tom joined BNY Mellon in 2002. Formerly, he worked with Bank of Ireland and Daiwa Securities, reviewing and implementing system and process enhancements within their Fund Administration businesses. He also spent three years in Sydney, Australia, working in equivalent roles with Colonial First State Investments.
Tom holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Limerick.
