Sonal Patel is currently a Senior Sales Executive for Platinum Corporate Trust primarily responsible for the company’s largest and complex global client relationships. Sonal is accountable for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities that include delivering a company-wide approach driving revenue across business and geographies.
Sonal joined BNY Mellon in 2000 and has since held numerous roles In Corporate Trust including Financial Institutions Business Group Manager for Sales and Relationship Management across the U.S.; Global Structured Credit Group Sales Executive working with collateral managers, hedge funds, private equity firms, investment banks, corporations, and law firms; and Manager of the Global CDO Group. Before joining BNY Mellon, Sonal served 2 years with Ascent Meredith as a Senior Product Analyst where she helped implement investment strategies for an asset management firm.
In 2005, Sonal was nominated by The BNY Mellon’s members of the Women's Bond Club for the Rising Star award and is currently a member of the WBC. In 2010, Sonal was an honoree for 40 under 40 by the Feminist Press. She was also honored as a Chairman Circle Award winner for BNY Mellon, an award presented to individuals for outstanding client performance and management. Sonal is part of the WIN Executive Committee and an active member of Women United in Philanthropy and Women in Sales at The Bank.
Sonal holds a BS in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics from Rowan University in New Jersey.
