Chief Information Officer of Client Experience Delivery


Lucille Mayer is the Chief Information Officer of Client Experience Delivery at BNY Mellon. Client Experience Delivery has responsibility for all client touch points: portals, mobile solutions, web services/open architecture and information delivery experience; as well as the development, testing and delivery of these client solutions. Client Experience Delivery works collaboratively with the business units, product lines and our clients to develop a truly integrated, comprehensive service experience that allows clients to address all of their investment requirements and gain access to the broad resources that BNY Mellon has to offer. Additionally, Client Experience Delivery provides shared services to the entire firm for Technology Product Management, User Experience Development, Technology Relationship Management and Quality Assurance.

In 2013, Ms. Mayer formed the Women in Technology Employee Resource Group. She is also a founding member of the Anita Borg Institute’s New York City-based technology hub, ABI (dot) New York. The formation of Women in Technology was a catalyst to the recognition of BNY Mellon as the Anita Borg Institute’s 2015 Top Company for Women in Technology.

Ms. Mayer is also a member of the corporate BNY Mellon Operating Committee and heads up BNY Mellon’s Jersey City Innovation Center.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Mayer was a managing director and Chief Information Officer for Pershing LLC, a BNY Mellon company, and a member of Pershing’s Executive Committee. She was responsible for the development of innovative technology solutions for Pershing’s NetExchange® suite of products, as well as Albridge, an enterprise data management, wealth reporting and customer technology company.

Ms. Mayer joined Pershing in 1990 as a project leader responsible for clearance systems within the technology group. During her initial 11-year tenure in the technology group, Ms. Mayer held various senior positions in Applications Development and Information Management. Since 2001, she held leadership positions in Technology, Business Operations, Process Reengineering, and Enterprise Project Management. From 2006 to 2009, she was Pershing’s first Chief Quality Officer.

Before joining Pershing, Ms. Mayer was an applications development manager at Shearson Lehman Hutton, where she was responsible for mutual fund applications. Before that, at Manufacturers Hanover Trust, she was responsible for developing personal trust applications.

Ms. Mayer is a member of BNY Mellon’s Information Technology Executive Committee and has represented Pershing/BNY Mellon on the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s (SIFMA's) Technology Management Committee. From 2004 to 2010, Ms. Mayer was a board member and treasurer of the York Street Project, a Jersey City-based nonprofit organization.

Ms. Mayer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science, magna cum laude, from the State University of New York, and was recently named to Computerworld’s “Premier 100 IT Leaders” list for 2013.
