Joe is the Global Head of Sales and Relationship Management for the Asset Manager and Sovereign Wealth Funds Segment for BNY Mellon Markets which provides a comprehensive array of foreign exchange, securities finance, collateral management, global liquidity and capital markets services. 

Joe was formerly head of BNY Mellon's Structured Products Services business, which includes those services provided globally to Exchange Traded Funds, Unit Investment Trusts and Closed-End Funds.  He also led the US Financial Institutions business and was previously a Segment Executive within the Global Financial Institutions (GFI) Sector of BNY Mellon Asset Servicing and oversaw a portfolio of the company’s most important franchise clients. Prior to joining BNY Mellon Markets, Joe was a member of the Board of Directors of CIBC Mellon Global Securities Services (GSS) and CIBC Mellon Trust Company - our Canadian joint venture companies, and also was the President of BNY Mellon Illinois Trust Company.

Joe has gained more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry since joining The Bank of New York in 1985 in a customer service capacity. He later served as the business manager for Mutual Fund Services in San Francisco, and in 1998 returned to the Wall Street headquarters to spearhead sales and marketing efforts for Global Fund Services. 

At the time of the Mellon and Bank of New York merger in 2007, he led North American Asset Servicing Sales and oversaw Relationship Management for our Financial Institution clients. During his career Joe has been interviewed by leading financial media outlets including: Bloomberg Radio, Asset.TV, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The New York Times, American Banker, Institutional Investor, Pensions and Investments, Global Finance, Forbes.com, and Morningstar.com

Joe has a B.A. in English Literature and Communications from the University of Michigan, and an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
