Jeannine manages BNY Mellon Markets’ global collateral management and segregation business in EMEA. She oversees a team of nearly 60, and her responsibilities include driving business growth, product management, client relationship management, service delivery and regulatory issues. She is a member of the BNY Mellon EMEA Extended Executive Committee and the BNY Mellon EMEA Operating Committee. 

Collateral management and segregation serves broker-dealers and institutional investors facing rapidly expanding collateral management needs as a result of regulatory and market change. BNY Mellon Markets offers global capabilities in collateral management including segregating, optimising, financing and transforming collateral, as well as securities financing, liquidity and FX.

Jeannine began her working life as an engineer after leaving university with a B.S. in chemical engineering and spent three years in Washington DC working primarily in the petroleum business. After progressing to positions with more managerial responsibility, she returned to the University of Virginia (UVA) for her Masters in Business Administration (MBA).

On leaving UVA, Jeannine switched fields and began her capital markets career in derivatives sales at Continental Bank in Chicago. She then transitioned through a variety of positions in Chicago, London and Amsterdam for Continental Bank, Bank of America, and ABN Amro, gaining experience in fixed income and equities as well as derivatives. Jeannine became EMEA head of securities lending at BNY Mellon in 2011 and took over as EMEA head of global collateral management and segregation in 2015.
