Ellen Lichius is a Senior Associate within Global Payments Product Management for BNY Mellon Treasury Services. In this role she serves as the global service owner for the SWIFT Global Payment Innovation (gpi) initiative, where she oversees the development, implementation and business development efforts of BNY Mellon’s SWIFT gpi service across USD, EUR, GBP, Multicurrency and FX transactions. Ellen is also responsible for working directly with SWIFT and the additional 110+ global SWIFT gpi member banks to drive SWIFT gpi’s future enhancement roadmap at an industry level.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Lichius was a Market Manager within the Treasury Services’ Business Development group, where she worked with the North America Corporate and Healthcare Segments. In this role, she also completed an assignment in BNY Mellon’s London office. Ms. Lichius began her career in BNY Mellon’s Client Accounting & Reporting group within the Client Service Delivery business. She is a proud graduate of BNY Mellon’s Emerging Leaders Rotational Development Program, where she completed assignments in Corporate Strategy & Innovation, Corporate Trust and Treasury Services. Ms. Lichius is an active member of WIN, GenEdge, and IMPACT, where she is a Steering Committee Member for the PEER Initiative, in addition to serving as a mentor to analysts within the Summer Associate Program.
A native Pittsburgher, Ms. Lichius is a graduate of Robert Morris University, where she majored in Economics and Theatre, also obtaining a Non-Profit Management certificate.
