David Sunderwirth has 34 years of experience in the financial services industry and joined BNY Mellon in 2000. David spearheads BNY Mellon’s energy initiatives by working closely with professionals both within the firm and throughout the industry. He has experience in client management, corporate finance, and business development through the direct management of a portfolio of utility and energy companies located primarily in eastern United States. David ensures that his clients are connected to the full breadth of the Bank's services and tailors the firm’s capabilities to fulfill his client’s strategic needs.
Prior to joining BNY Mellon, David had relationship management roles at Fleet Bank, Chemical Bank (now JP Morgan Chase) and Marine Midland Bank (now HSBC Corp.). David holds an MBA from Pace University and a BA from the University of Minnesota.
