Global Head of Data and Analytics Solutions
Charles Teschner is Global Head of Data and Analytics Solutions for BNY Mellon, an important part of the firm’s efforts to further extend our capabilities in securities and cash into the world’s most important ‘asset class’, data.
He is responsible for the firm’s software and content businesses including Eagle Investment Systems, our data management and accounting/performance platform, as well as Intermediary Analytics and a suite of new cloud-based products. He is also responsible for the team which is rolling out proprietary and third-party business applications for the core investment process and beyond.
Charles has over 25 years of global experience in the data and digital sector spanning North America, Europe and Asia. In addition to serving for five years on the executive committee at Standard and Poors, he has been an investor and board member in the fintech sector, including at S&P Dow Jones, the world’s largest index company. He also served as an advisor to top executives in the capital markets and information sectors as a Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group in New York and as a practice leader at Booz Allen Hamilton in Europe. He is a frequent author and commentator on the value migration in the capital markets from traditional to technology and data-driven revenue sources.
He is based in New York and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University, an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School, and an MA in Asian Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
