Bruce Shain is Managing Director at The Bank of New York Mellon. He serves as Head of the Corporate, Government & Not-for-Profit (CGNP) business, which has over 1,000 employees and offices in New York, Boston, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Chicago and Dallas. Bruce has full P&L responsibility for the business, which services over 400 leading Corporate and Public Pension Plans as well as Foundations and Endowments, with assets totaling over $2.7 trillion. The primary focus is to provide custody, accounting, performance measurement and asset management services to their clients.

Prior to his current appointment, Bruce served in a variety of management and relationship executive roles within BNY Mellon Asset Servicing’s CGNP business, including responsibility for the team covering endowments and foundation clients. He joined BNY Mellon in 1998. Previously, Bruce spent 16 years at John Hancock Financial Services where he was a Senior Account Executive working with US-based multinational corporations to implement employee benefit programs (pension, life and health coverages) for their non-U.S. employees. In this role he had relationships with over 45 insurance companies around the world to facilitate benefit services that his clients required.

At BNY Mellon, Bruce has been involved in various volunteer opportunities, from the internal mentor program to several community outreach projects/events.
