BNY Mellon has announced expanded roles for several senior executives as part of streamlining its organization to advance the company’s position as the investments company for the world and better serve its clients.
Vice Chairman and CEO of Investment Management Curtis Arledge will add to his responsibilities the oversight for a newly formed BNY Mellon Markets Group. The BNY Mellon Markets Group will bring together the company’s Global Markets, Global Collateral Services and Prime Services offerings. Kurt Woetzel, who currently heads Global Collateral Services, will be named President of BNY Mellon Markets Group, reporting to Arledge.
“The creation of the BNY Mellon Markets Group will further enable us to meet the evolving trading, securities financing and securities lending requirements of our clients,” said Woetzel.
In addition, Brian Shea, currently President of Investment Services, has been named Vice Chairman and CEO of the Investment Services businesses. Shea will also continue to oversee Client Service Delivery and Client Technology Solutions, the company’s operations and technology teams.
Chairman and CEO Gerald Hassell said: “Curtis’s prior experience at Wachovia and BlackRock gives him unique insights into the markets and the needs of BNY Mellon’s clients. Brian’s experience as President of Investment Services and in leading our clearing services businesses and our global Client Service Delivery and Client Technology Solutions teams will help us accelerate our progress in delivering new solutions to our clients – faster and better than our competitors.”
“Moving ahead, I am looking forward to the opportunities we will have to apply the leadership and expertise of Curtis and Brian across additional areas of the company.”
