Senthil Kumar Receives Ascend 2020 A-List Award

BNY Mellon Chief Risk Officer, Senthil Kumar, received the 2020 A-list award from Ascend, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the Pan-Asian community become competitive innovators, role models and catalysts for change. The A-list Award recognizes individuals who contribute to the advancement of others in their industries or communities. Senthil was honored at a virtual gala on May 28.

“The effects of this pandemic and the tragic events of social injustice against minorities across the U.S. in recent weeks has reminded us that we have much work to do,” said Senthil. “Research shows that diverse populations will be disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, from less access to healthcare, to those of Asian descent experiencing higher rates of harassment. I am proud to receive this award, and even more proud to be part of a company that values people’s differences and takes concrete action to promote equality and acceptance for all.”
