Tracey Moore, who is part of our Client Services team in London, has been recognized for her community work at an event celebrating outstanding voluntary contributions from employees working in City firms.
Hosted by trade association AFME (the Association for Financial Markets in Europe) and Citi, the event was part of the Lord Mayor’s annual City Giving Day celebrations, which saw 200+ businesses across the City of London and Canary Wharf volunteer, fundraise, and raise awareness of their community investment programs.
Tracey was nominated by BNY Mellon for her commitment to local homelessness charity Whitechapel Mission. Whitechapel Mission has been working with the homeless in east London for 140 years, providing support from hot meals to clothing to those in need, and relies heavily on volunteers to maximize the impact of its services.
Tracey has supported the charity for many years, starting out with volunteering to serve breakfasts at the center, a much needed provision in the area. Since then, Tracey has also collected hundreds of toiletries and clothing donations from BNY Mellon colleagues, including a recent City Giving Day collection from both BNY Mellon London offices.
As well as supporting the charity as an enthusiastic volunteer and fundraiser, for the past two years she has also managed BNY Mellon’s partnership with the Whitechapel Mission through the company’s community program, which organizes individual and team opportunities for employees to get involved in.
BNY Mellon is proud to be part of City Giving Day. You can look back at all the events and photos from the day on the Lord Mayor’s Appeal Twitter account @LMAppeal or at #CityGivingDa
