Congratulations to Tracey Moore from our London office who has this week been recognized by British newspaper Financial News in its FN Extra Mile 2016 for her contributions to society throughout the course of this year. The FN Extra Mile showcases 25 people in the financial services sector who are using their skills, passions and resources to make a difference.
Moore, who has been involved in BNY Mellon’s Community Partnership Committee for two years, works particularly closely with the Whitechapel Mission – a charity in east London that has been serving the homeless and marginalized for 140 years.
She volunteers at weekends, buys holiday to work extra weekdays, and works evenings and weekends to engage colleagues in the cause. Moore has organized a wide range of activities this year, including monthly breakfast volunteering and ladies’ day volunteering sessions; fundraising events; clothing and toiletry collections; a garden and holiday party; and social days out with homeless women.
Under her leadership, almost 400 BNY Mellon employees have volunteered 1,500 hours, and have so far this year raised more than £23,000 including matched funding by the company. Moore is aiming to double that figure next year.
