BNY Mellon, a global leader in investment management and investment services, garnered two prominent industry accolades in March. It has been named ETF Custodian of the Year by ETF.com, and separately, Best Global Custodian by etfexpress.
ETF.com’s Awards Selection Committee names award winners from a short list of reader-nominated firms. The award recognizes a wide range of BNY Mellon’s custodial services for ETFs, from the custody of underlying assets to calculating and disseminating net asset values to regulatory filings and shareholder servicing.
The etfexpress award for custodian services is decided by a poll of etfexpress readers, who include investors and managers as well as fund administrators, custodians, accountants and auditors, law firms, consultants, and distributors.
Both awards echo BNY Mellon’s ongoing commitment to helping ETF issuers drive assets and succeed in today’s rapidly changing environment. During 2017, BNY Mellon’s ETF assets under custody and administration reached record asset levels. As of December 31, 2017, BNY Mellon supported 37 issuers offering 712 separate portfolios in the U.S., Europe and Asia with more than $424 billion in total net assets.
Jeff McCarthy, CEO, Exchange Traded Products, BNY Mellon, said: “We are pleased to see a wide-range of stakeholders validate our strong commitment to delivering the best ETF services to clients. Our abilities to streamline workflow and provide support, to better manage resources, to access the right liquidity pools, and to meet client business goals are all points of pride for us.”
BNY Mellon helps global ETF issuers design, issue, distribute, and manage funds. In addition to its core custody, fund accounting and administration offerings, it offers issuers trading, collateral, funding, liquidity management, and ETF access and distribution strategies.
