Principles of Risk Culture

BNY Mellon is strengthening its risk culture – the way it thinks about risk management outside the formal framework used to control the company – to further embed the core concepts of personal responsibility for risk awareness and management in the organization. To strengthen risk culture, it follows four key principles, illustrated in the infographic: lead by example, institutionalize ethical behavior, put clients first and organize around ownership.
