Rotational Development Program

Our Rotational Development Program (RDP) is seeking to develop emerging talent as BNY Mellon’s leaders of tomorrow. Our program at a glance

  • Global program with two locations: U.S. and EMEA Europe, Middle East and Africa)
  • Four-week orientation includes business overviews and training in global capital markets, BNY Mellon products and services, risk, business skills and leadership presence.
    • U.S.: Orientation held in New York
    • EMEA: Orientation held in London
  • Three four-month rotations within your geographic program that combines learning with skill development through practical work.
  • Ongoing learning assignments that develop technical, professional and interpersonal skills.
  • Other development activities include mentoring, networking events and executive presentations.
  • Subject to availability and acceptance by the participant of the employment offer letter, upon successful completion of the rotations, participants will be matched to a full-time position based on their skills and interests, as well as the needs of the business.

We’re looking for emerging talent

  • Internal and external candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate degrees. GPA requirements: minimum of 3.0 in the U.S.; minimum of 2.1 in EMEA.
  • Excellent judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong work ethic, excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated personal leadership, and the ability to be self-directed in a demanding, team-oriented environment.
  • A strong understanding of financial markets and business acumen.
  • An interest in front office, middle office, back office or business partner functions within Investment Services.
  • Open to relocation (hires will be made in the geographic locations where they are authorized to work).

Opportunities Post Program

  • By the end of the RDP, you will have gained an in-depth understanding of BNY Mellon and the financial markets. Successful employees will have the opportunity to be placed in a front office, middle office or operational role within BNY Mellon.
  • To ensure your ongoing success, the program managers, your rotational manager and you will assess the areas that best suit your interests and the skills that you’ve gained in order to find a full-time facilitated placement. Subject to availability and acceptance by the participant of the employment offer letter, these placements are based upon business needs, and your preferences and performance throughout the program.
