We believe the greatest investment we make is in our people. Get to know the men and women who make BNY Mellon a world-class financial institution. Meet Patricia, Chief Financial Officer for BNY Mellon in Brazil.
I work in Brazil Finance where I’m the country CFO and part of BNY Mellon’s global Corporate Finance Group. Based in Sao Paulo, I oversee the company’s accounting, tax and treasury functions throughout the country. It’s a vast territory, so I have a lot of help from a great team that’s committed to BNY Mellon’s success in Brazil.
A Day in My Life
Every day is different – there really doesn’t seem to be a regular or routine day. But if I can point out one constant, it’s that I try to have a clear understanding of my priorities and goals for each day. Being responsible for an area with multiple functions, such as accounting, tax and treasury, while also being a member of the senior management team in Brazil, requires an organized plan. Given the vast flow of information I deal with on a daily basis, it’s imperative to combine consistency, control and highly-efficient processes to maintain the accuracy of our books and records.
