BNY Mellon has been named one of Fast Company’s Best Workplaces for Innovators for 2021. This annual list, produced in collaboration with Accenture, recognizes and honors the top 100 businesses that inspire, support and promote innovation at all levels and across a variety of industries.
BNY Mellon was recognized for its investments in infrastructure to support innovation. In the last year alone, BNY Mellon has launched Fintech Express, a streamlined on-boarding process of emerging technology companies for a faster proof of execution; and an Accelerator Program, allowing Series A to Series C companies to test, innovate and validate solutions with BNY Mellon teams. Other innovation initiatives include internal programs to guide BNY Mellon teams through ideation and validation as well as one to crowdsource innovative ideas across the organization, among many other initiatives.
There have also been updates to the technology landscape to encourage rapid experimentation, including the cloud-based Innovation Sandbox, a specially designed, secure environment that can allow companies to start working with BNY Mellon in as quickly as a matter of days.
“Innovation doesn’t happen in a silo or a vacuum, it’s built on organizational culture and an incredible infrastructure. It grows and propagates through collaboration and experimentation within an ecosystem comprised of our incredible workforce, our clients, technology companies, and the venture capital community,” said Hans Brown, Head of Enterprise Innovation.
“At BNY Mellon we are proud of our forward-thinking culture that invests in technology, growth and our people. We are pleased to be recognized alongside some of the world’s largest and most innovative companies and honored that Fast Company has recognized our continued evolution built on 237 years of innovation.”
