Balasubramanian Anantharaman is a Director and Head of Pershing India Operational Services at BNY Mellon | Pershing and a member of the Pershing India Executive Committee. Currently, based in Chennai, he leads and manages Pershing’s business and operations teams in India. He is responsible for driving and implementing Pershing’s global operations strategy, focusing on delivering superior client experience, nurturing innovation and supporting talent development.
Bala joined BNY Mellon Technology India in 2010. He played a key role in setting up the Pershing India office in 2013. Prior to his current role, Bala managed Pershing India’s Client Service Delivery functions in 2015 .
Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Bala was with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as a business consultant in their Financial Services Products business, working with leading banks, clearing corporations and other financial institutions located in the United States, United Kingdom and continental Europe and was based in several locations including Philadelphia, London, Delhi and Chennai.
Bala earned his degree of Masters from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C).
