Head of Global Client Management, EMEA and Ireland Country Executive
Joe Duffy is Head of Global Client Management, EMEA and Country Executive for BNY Mellon in Ireland.
As Head of Global Client Management for EMEA, Joe leads a team of client executives aligned around industry segments and European markets, who are responsible for BNY Mellon’s most significant client relationships in Europe.
In his role as Country Executive, Joe is the chief strategist, leader and senior representative for the company’s business interests in Ireland and is responsible for oversight of the company’s relationships with legislators, regulators, clients and other key stakeholders.
Prior to these roles, Joe was co-head of EMEA for BNY Mellon’s Corporate Trust business, leading business management execution and setting strategic direction for the Corporate Trust business in EMEA.
Before joining BNY Mellon in 2006, Joe spent almost 10 years with JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank in Ireland, focusing on building financial services related businesses. Joe also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for almost a decade, based in Ireland and various overseas locations.
Joe is a member of BNY Mellon’s Corporate Operating Committee, EMEA Chairman's Forum and EMEA Operating Committee. He is Deputy CEO of BNY Mellon’s European Bank and Co-Chair of the Company’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) Employee Resource Group in EMEA. Beyond BNY Mellon, Joe is Chair of Council of IFSC Ireland Council and Chair of PwC’s Alumni in Ireland.
Joe holds a Commerce degree from University College Dublin and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
