Susan Revell serves as Deputy Chair and General Counsel for EMEA at BNY Mellon. In addition she is also Deputy Branch Manager for the London Branch of our Institutional Bank including having oversight of First Line Controls Management, Conduct and Culture and Third Party Governance for the UK entities.
Susan joined BNY Mellon in 2013 from Morgan Stanley, where she worked for over 17 years in a number of increasingly senior legal and regulatory related positions. She began her legal career as an associate at Clifford Chance, where she worked for six years both in London and Hong Kong, before moving to Morgan Stanley.
Susan is a passionate advocate for Diversity & Inclusion and the advancement of women. At BNY Mellon, she is the Diversity & Inclusion sponsor for the Legal department globally, chair of the EMEA Business Inclusion Council and served as the EMEA Executive Sponsor for WIN before assuming the WIN Global Co-Chair role.
Susan has been recognised several times in Financial News as one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Finance. She was also recently named as one of the top women executives in the Financial Times & HERoes Champions of Women in Business 2018 list. Susan is the most senior female representative in EMEA and was integral to BNY Mellon signing the UK Women in Finance Charter.
Susan has been on the board of Habitat for Humanity GB, a global charity focusing on the elimination of housing poverty, for the last decade and has served as its Vice Chair for the last three years. Susan has worked actively with Pilotlight, a UK based organisation which seeks to focus on interaction between business professionals and charities by sharing skills effectively.
