Who has not dreamed of a prince charming? This is a universal desire and gave rise to a series of fairy tales that are perpetuated from generation to generation. None of them, however, is more famous than Cinderella, who turns into princess for a day and finds his great love, thanks to the lost glass slipper. And so they are happy forever!
"Cinderella" by Rodgers and Hammerstein, was first aired on TV (CBS), starring Julie Andrews in March 1957 and is to date the most watched program in the history of American television. The musical hit the Broadway in 2013. It is based on the version of the fairy tale "Cinderella", particularly in the French version Cendrillon or La Petite Pantoufle de Verre, by Charles Perrault. This is the duo's only musical written especially for television and won two new versions: in 1965 and 1997.
Brazil finally will have its own "Cinderella" in this show, directed by Charles Möeller and Claudio Botelho, with Bianca Tadini in the main role and Totia Meireles as her stepmother.
