BNY Mellon Ranked Among Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies

BNY Mellon announced today that it has been named to Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies for 2022. The list recognizes the top 100 companies in America across a variety of sectors that scored highest in 230 environmental, social, and governance, or ESG, performance indicators.

To build Barron’s fifth annual ranking of the most sustainable companies, Calvert Research and Management started with the 1,000 largest publicly traded companies by market value, then ranked each by how it performed for five key constituencies: shareholders, employees, customers, community, and the planet. BNY Mellon is one of 14 financial services firms on this year’s list. In addition to this recognition by Barron’s, a leading source of financial news, BNY Mellon was recently named to the CDP Climate Change 'A-List' for the ninth consecutive year and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the eighth consecutive year. BNY Mellon is also ranked among FORTUNE Magazine’s World’s Most Admired Companies for 2022.
