BNY Mellon Named Best Global Trade Finance Provider 2023

JANUARY 26, 2023

BNY Mellon’s Treasury Services business received two awards in Global Finance’s World’s Best Trade Finance Providers 2023 Awards, reflecting its commitment to providing innovative, best-in-class trade finance capabilities. The awards include “Best Trade Finance Provider – Bank” in both the Global and North America categories.

The award wins recognize BNY Mellon’s role as a robust and reliable trade finance provider in times of global uncertainty, as well as the firm’s efforts in driving innovation through significant investments in new technologies.

Joon Kim, Global Head of Trade Finance, Working Capital & Portfolio Management, BNY Mellon Treasury Services said: “This global win is a testament to our team’s incredible dedication in driving meaningful change by listening to our clients, understanding their needs and providing solutions that create enhanced efficiencies, automation and scalability. We remain committed to working with industry and regulatory bodies to incorporate emerging technologies, standards and initiatives to improve our internal processes and expedite our clients’ ongoing digital transformation – our journey is just beginning.”

The awards also highlight BNY Mellon’s comprehensive trade outsourcing services, which are designed to help banking clients avoid the high costs of contracting with a third-party and address concerns about constrained trade staff resources – all while leveraging the company’s state-of-the-art trade portals, extensive global network and expertise.

Global Finance’s World’s Best Trade Finance Providers 2023 Awards – now in their 23rd year – celebrate the best trade finance providers across almost 100 territories worldwide. The winners were presented with trophies at the 2023 Europe Bank to Bank Forum hosted by the Bankers Association for Finance and Trade (BAFT).
