Rob Capone is Executive Vice President and Head of BNY Mellon Retirement for BNY Mellon Investment Management. Rob and his team bring BNY Mellon's vast institutional investment management and manufacturing capabilities to both the Retirement Investment Only/Sub-Advisory and Insurance/VA Sub-Advisory market places.
Rob is a Retirement industry veteran having spent the last 23 years selling, leading and managing in nearly all facets of the Retirement business. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Rob came from Mercer HR Services (formerly a unit of Putnam Investments), where he was Managing Director for Participant Services, overseeing a 300 person division and responsible for $60 billion in institutional and retail retirement assets. Previously, Rob was the Director of Relationship Management, overseeing 15 DC client relationship managers as well as Business Development at Putnam. He was also instrumental in helping to create Putnam's Investment Only business. Prior to his 11 years at Putnam/Mercer, Rob spent over four years at Fidelity Investments, managing both investment and non-investment service delivery for $75 billion in DC plan assets.
Rob serves on the Board of Directors for MBSC Securities Corporation. He is also a member of BNY Mellon Investment Management's Operating Committee and Commingled Funds Advisory Board. In addition, Rob is a member of Dreyfus Corporation's Executive Committee and Operating Committee.
He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Dartmouth College and a master's degree in business administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Rob also holds NASD Series 3, 6, 7, 24, 26 and 63 licenses.
