Global Head of Talent Strategy
Sheena is Global Head of Talent Strategy for BNY Mellon. She is based in London and works with business leaders and employees world-wide on a wide range of talent management priorities, including global talent acquisition, global diversity and inclusion, global talent management, global talent best practices, and ongoing development of our leadership pipeline.
Prior to taking on this role in August 2009, Sheena was Chief Executive Officer of BNY Mellon (India). Sheena was based in Pune, India from December 2006 through July 2009.
Sheena serves on BNY Mellon's Operating Committee, the EMEA Operating Committee; the Global Diversity and Inclusion Council; the WIN global Steering Group; and the Benefits Administration Committee. During her time in India, Sheena was a member of the Securities and Investment Institute's India Regional Committee.
Under Sheena's leadership, the company's Pune growth center expanded from 400 to more than 1,600 employees performing a wide range of multi sector financial services processes for all of the company's global businesses. She led all business facets of that continuing growth on the ground in India, and delivered Quartile 1 employee engagement scores in Pune throughout her tenure in India. Prior to her India assignment, Sheena spent five years in London as Head of Human Resources for what was then Mellon International, responsible for all aspects of HR outside of North America. She played a leadership role in many key initiatives, including HR oversight for the start-up in 2004 and ongoing operations of BNY Mellon (India).
A native of England whose home for much of her life has been in Australia, Sheena received a political science degree from the University of Melbourne and has more than 30 years of multi regional international experience in human resources management, management consulting, operations management and general management. Prior to joining the company in 2002, Sheena was based in Baltimore, Maryland, as global head of HR for Sitel, a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) leader, operating in 27 countries. In 2007, Sheena was awarded a Global Superachievers Award by the Indira Group of Institutes for her contributions in the field of international human resources management.
