Shona Spence
Chief Administration Officer, BNY Mellon Asset Management International
Shona Spence is the Chief Administration Officer of BNY Mellon Asset Management International, the global (except U.S.) distributor of the investment skills of BNY Mellon Asset Management, and a director of BNY Mellon Asset Management International Ltd, a Financial Services Authority-regulated entity. In this role, she has primary responsibility for BNY Mellon Asset Management International's day-to-day operations, overseeing AMI's strategic projects and shared service relationships.
Prior to assuming her current role in 2010, Shona was Chief Financial Officer for AMI with responsibility for the business's global finance functions, including operations in Europe, Asia Pacific and South America.
In addition to various AMI committees, Shona serves on BNY Mellon's EMEA Operating Committee and the Global and European Diversity and Inclusion Councils. Shona has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Following qualification with Deloitte & Touche, she worked for SG Warburg, Mercury Asset Management and HSBC Asset Management, where she was Global Head of Finance, prior to joining BNY Mellon in 2001.
Shona earned a bachelor's degree in immunology and microbiology from King's College London.
