George Gilmer is a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Corporate, Government & Not-for-Profit within BNY Mellon Asset Servicing. George and his team are charged with creating and maintaining strong business partnerships through an effective strategic and consultative approach for approximately 425 clients with assets of $2.5 trillion. These clients include U.S. based Public Funds, Corporations, Endowments, Foundations, Religious, Healthcare and Taft-Hartley Plans.

George joined heritage Mellon Financial Corporation in September of 2003. In his initial role, George worked as Chief Financial Officer for Mellon's Asset Servicing Sector. Prior to and immediately following Mellon's merger with the Bank of New York, George assumed the role of Chief Administrative Officer for Asset Servicing. As CAO George had oversight responsibility for operating risk and human resources and direct responsibility for training, billing and the strategy/business development function. In May, 2008, George again joined the finance team as CFO for the Asset Servicing business as well as CFO for Global Markets including foreign exchange, derivatives and capital markets.

Prior to joining Mellon, George worked at JP Morgan Chase as CFO for the Securities Processing and Fund Servicing line of business, which had revenues in excess of $1.5 billion. Prior to his six years at JP Morgan Chase, George worked in senior finance positions in varied industries.

George received a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Westfield State University.
