R. Jeep Bryant

R. Jeep Bryant is an Executive Vice President of BNY Mellon and the company's Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. He leads a global team responsible for advancing the company's reputation through a broad range of functions, including public relations, internal communications, corporate social responsibility, philanthropy and community involvement. He serves as chairman of the BNY Mellon Foundation and is a member of the company's Operating Committee.

Mr. Bryant joined The Bank of New York in 2003 as Managing Director and Global Head of Corporate Communications. He was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2006 and led the communications strategy for the company's merger with Mellon Financial. His responsibilities were expanded to include a broader range of Corporate Affairs functions in 2008, including BNY Mellon's Community Partnership Program, which engages thousands of employees in fundraising and volunteer projects around the world. The program was honored with a national Corporate Social Responsibility Award in Washington, D.C., in 2010.

From 1999 to 2003, Mr. Bryant served as Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Communications for The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., in Pittsburgh, where he created the internal communications and public relations strategy for the launch of a new corporate brand. He also led a comprehensive employee communications program that was recognized by the Public Relations Society of America for its success in driving bottom-line results.

From 1989 to 1999, Mr. Bryant held key management positions within the corporate communications function at First Union, a predecessor company of Wells Fargo. As Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Communications, he led the strategic public relations program as the company expanded through more than 40 acquisitions.

Mr. Bryant's career has also included positions as reporter, anchor and producer for three television news operations.

Mr. Bryant serves on the Board of Directors of Good Shepherd Services, a nonprofit organization in New York providing comprehensive support to at-risk youth and their families. He is a 2011 David Rockefeller Fellow with The Partnership for New York City.

He has served on the Advisory Council for the College of Charleston's Department of Communication and the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Public Relations, and is a former chairman of the Public Broadcasting Authority in Charlotte, N.C. He holds a bachelor's degree with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
