How do I replace lost, missing, stolen or non-received bonds?
You may request the replacement of bonds by writing to our Lost Securities Department. Please include the name of the security, the CUSIP number, the name of the registered owner(s), the dollar amount and the certificate number(s) in your correspondence.
Please ensure that all current owners or legal representatives sign the letter. If the registered owner is deceased, please state so in your letter so that we may provide you with the necessary legal requirements.
Please forward your correspondence to:
The Bank of New York Mellon
Lost Securities Department
111 Sanders Creek Parkway
East Syracuse, NY 13057
A fee of approximately 2 percent of the market value of the lost securities will be required by a surety company to replace the securities. Once we receive your letter, a stop will be placed against the certificate(s) and an Affidavit of Loss will be mailed to the address specified in your letter. Please note: This fee is not applicable if you have reported non-receipt of certificates within three years of the time of presentation.
How may I change the mailing address used for my bonds?
You may notify us of an address change in writing or by completing the back of the tear-off stub attached to your interest check. Be sure all registered owners sign this form.

May I have my interest directly deposited into my bank account?
Direct Deposit offers you the convenience of having your interest deposited directly into your bank account through electronic funds transfer on the dividend payment date. This service offers the convenience of automatic and immediate access to your funds, while eliminating the possibility of mail delays and lost, stolen or destroyed checks. Please call our Customer Service Department to find out if your bond is eligible.
I received an abandoned property notice. What should I do?
Depending upon your state of residence, property may be considered to be abandoned from three to seven years after the date of last contact and will be escheated or returned to the state. Contact consists of written correspondence, the sale or purchase of securities, or the negotiation of interest checks. An "Abandoned Property Notice" is forwarded to the address of record for your account six months prior to the time that property is to be turned over to your state of residence.
To claim your outstanding property, simply sign and return the notice to us in the envelope provided. If your mailing address has changed, please indicate your new address on the back of the notice so we may update our records accordingly. Upon receipt of the returned notice, all outstanding funds will be reissued and forwarded to you.
