Kurt D. Woetzel

Head of Global Operations and Technology and Chief Administrative Officer

Kurt Woetzel is Chief Administrative Officer and Head of Global Operations and Technology for BNY Mellon. Mr. Woetzel oversees an operations and technology organization that provides servicing to financial institutions, corporations and high-net-worth individuals worldwide. In this role, he is responsible for BNY Mellon's operations, technology and software development, business continuity planning and corporate services, the latter of which includes procurement, corporate real estate and facilities management. BNY Mellon is the corporate brand of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (NYSE:BK).

In 2002, Mr. Woetzel was named CIO and head of technology. During this time, he drove the technology strategy to position the company as a leader in securities services. In 2009, Mr. Woetzel was given additional responsibilities as Head of Global Operations of BNY Mellon, and in 2010, he was also named the company's Chief Administrative Officer.

Mr. Woetzel joined The Bank of New York in 1985 in the Broker Dealer Services business, eventually leading that division. In 1995, Mr. Woetzel headed up the Securities Processing Systems area. Then, in 1998, Mr. Woetzel became head of the company's software development process. In this capacity, he was responsible for developing the technical architecture governing the integration of numerous and complex, large-scale acquisitions involving extensive client portfolios.

Prior to joining The Bank of New York, Mr. Woetzel formed a technology start-up company and managed the technology infrastructure for Adolph Coors Company.

Mr. Woetzel is a member of BNY Mellon's Executive Committee, the organization's most senior management body, which oversees day-to-day operations. He is also executive sponsor of IMPACT, the company's multicultural affinity network, and a member of the company's Women's Initiatives Network (WIN) Executive Committee. He is a former director of the boards of the Society of Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) and the Government Securities Clearing Corp.

Mr. Woetzel is currently a member of the Payments Risk Committee of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and a Trustee of the New York Hall of Science.
