Bruce C. Miller
Executive Vice President, Platinum Client Group
Bruce C. Miller is an Executive Vice President in the Platinum Client Group (PCG) at BNY Mellon. BNY Mellon is the corporate brand of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (NYSE: BK). Appointed to this position in June 2010, Bruce is one of a small number of EVPs who are responsible for developing deep, mutual strategic partnerships with a subset of the company's most complex, top global financial institution clients. Mr. Miller's PCG team is BNY Mellon's senior-most interface to these clients and is responsible for leading a global, company-wide approach across Investment Management and Investment Services to deliver long-term, strategic value.
Prior to his appointment to PCG, Bruce served as Global Sales Coordinator of BNY Mellon, leading the Global Strategic Sales Division. He also served as head of the Global Client Management Transition team in connection with the BNY-Mellon merger.
In 2001, Mr. Miller was asked to put a formal framework around the company's sales and relationship infrastructure which facilitated the development of the Global Strategic Sales Division. Mr. Miller was named Global Sales Coordinator in 2005 and promoted to Executive Vice President in 2006.
After completing the firm's Management Training Program in 1985, Mr. Miller served as a relationship manager in the Corporate Banking Sector covering the Midwest market until 1995, when he relocated to Los Angeles to become the head of the Western Division. In 2000, Mr. Miller returned to New York City to head the Automotive, Central, Western, and Endowment & Foundations divisions.
Named to BNY Mellon's Operating Committee in 2007, he is also a member of the Company's Global Diversity and Inclusion Council and Executive Chairman of PRISM, the Company's LGBT employee resource group of over 1,000 members worldwide.
Mr. Miller serves on the Board of Directors at The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), a premier global organization that empowers and advances the equality of the LGBT community. A resident of Manhattan, Mr. Miller earned a BA degree in Philosophy from Hamilton College in 1985 and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business in 1992.
