FAQs

How do I submit my resume?

To express interest, please use the online resume forms.

Can I fax or send my resume?

Please note that The Bank of New York Mellon only accepts resumes online. We invite you to visit our Careers page at www.bnymellon.com/careers to view job listings and information about working here, and access our Build Your Profile section.

What if I am not interested in a specific position but would like to submit my resume?

We strongly encourage that everyone creates a profile with our company. Your profile allows us to match your skills and experience to job opportunities that may become available. We automatically notify you when an opportunity is available via e-mail. This will also allow our recruiters to access your profile and match it against future opportunities.

What if I forgot my user name or password?

If you forgot your username or password, click "Forgot User Name or Forgot Password." The information will be sent to the e-mail address that is on your account. If you are experiencing problems with the reset of a user name or password, contact us. Please be specific as to the problems you are experiencing and provide the correct name and e-mail address that is on your account.

What if I need to delete a resume or attachment within my profile?

There is a limit of five attachments per account. Because of regulatory reasons, we do not allow for users to delete attachments once saved. We strongly encourage that your resume and cover letter remain consistent when expressing interest in positions. If information has changed with your profile, it can be updated via the online profile form.

Do I need to express interest separately for each job posting?

Yes.
