Head of EMEA Asset Servicing
Hani Kablawi is Executive Vice President and Head of EMEA for BNY Mellon's Asset Servicing business, which provides institutions worldwide with global custody, global fund services, foreign exchange, securities lending, global liquidity services, transfer agency, transition management, trustee/depotbank services, offshore fund administration, benefit disbursements, performance analytics and hedge fund administration.
Hani was formerly Head of EMEA Client Management at BNY Mellon, responsible for country management and franchise clients across the EMEA region. Hani sits on the company's Sovereign Advisory Board, overseeing relationships with sovereign wealth funds and central banks globally and chairs the EMEA Revenue Council, a corporate committee of senior business leaders responsible for revenue enhancing initiatives in the region. He is a member of the corporate Operating Committee and serves on the boards of a number of BNY Mellon subsidiaries.
Since joining The Bank of New York in 1997, Hani has held a number of senior country and client management positions based in New York, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and London.
Prior to joining The Bank of New York, Hani was a commercial lender at HSBC in New York and, prior to that, he was head of risk at Mashreqbank's New York branch. Hani earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1989 and a Master of Arts in Finance in 1990, both from The University of Iowa. He became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1993 and has been an active board and committee member of the New York Society of Security Analysts in New York and of the Emirates CFA society in the UAE, where he served as board member.
Hani currently serves on the regional board of Injaz al-Arab, Junior Achievement's MENA chapter and the board of the Arab Bankers Association in London.
