Jane Sherburne

General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Jane Sherburne is a Senior Executive Vice President of BNY Mellon and the company's General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. She is also a member of the company's Executive Committee, its most senior management body, which oversees day-to-day operations. She also has overall responsibility for government affairs. BNY Mellon is the corporate brand of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (NYSE:BK).

Formerly general counsel for Wachovia Corporation and general counsel for Citigroup's Global Consumer Group, Ms. Sherburne was a partner at Wilmer Cutler & Pickering in Washington, D.C. and special counsel to President Bill Clinton before shifting the focus of her practice to financial services.

Ms. Sherburne received a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Minnesota, and earned her J.D. from Georgetown University.
