David Lamere is chief executive officer of BNY Mellon Wealth Management, which ranks among the top 10 U.S. wealth managers. BNY Mellon Wealth Management provides wealth planning, investment management and banking services to individuals and families, family offices, and charitable gift programs through offices in 16 states and three countries. BNY Mellon is the corporate brand of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (NYSE:BK).
Mr. Lamere is a member of BNY Mellon's Executive Committee, the organization's most senior management body, which sets the company's strategies and policies and oversees day-to-day operations. In addition, he is responsible for the company's strategy in the Boston and greater New England communities.
Prior to the merger of The Bank of New York and Mellon Financial Corporation in July 2007, Mr. Lamere was vice chairman of Mellon Financial, and president of Mellon's Private Wealth Management group.
He serves on the Board of Trustees for The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation Foundation, Babson College and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and on the Board of Directors for United Way of Massachusetts Bay.
Mr. Lamere earned a bachelor's degree from Babson College.
