Art Certosimo

Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer,
Global Markets

A member of both the Executive and Operating Committees of BNY Mellon, Art is CEO of Global Markets, leading the company's foreign exchange, capital markets and derivatives trading businesses worldwide. He also oversees BNY Mellon Clearing LLC, which operates as a Global Clearing Member/Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) offering access and clearing services to clients trading derivatives in domestic markets and global exchanges such as CME, IDCG, Eurex.

Prior to his current role, Art served as Chief Executive Officer of Alternative, Broker-Dealer and Treasury Services.

Art serves as a member of the Board of Directors of DTCC, is Vice Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors of Promontory Interfinancial Network, a member of the Board of Directors of International Derivatives Clearing Group (IDCG) and a member of the Board of Directors of CMET Finance Holdings. In addition, he serves on a number of committees dedicated to delivering actionable solutions to issues facing the financial services industry. Among them: the Treasury Market Practices Group (TMPG), the Tri-party Repurchase agreement Infrastructure Task Force formed by the Federal Reserve Payments System Risk (PSR) Committee, The Industry Working Group on Payments System Risk Policy Change, and The NewBank Working Group.

Art is the Chairman of the Board of Advisors of Rutgers Business School, a member of the Board of Overseers of the Rutgers Foundation and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Brooklyn Bureau of Community Service. Before joining The Bank of New York in 1998, Art was a principal of Morgan Stanley Asset Management (MSAM). Prior to this, he was a vice president at The Chase Manhattan Bank's Global Investor Services group.

Art holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Rutgers College at Rutgers University and an MBA in Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
